Ignite Texas Trailblazer of the Year Awardees

As the President and CEO of The Embrey Family Foundation, Lauren Embrey has helped IGNITE reach college women from across the state of Texas by funding our partnership with NEW Leadership Texas. Because of Lauren’s vision, IGNITE has been able to build the political leadership of college women and then employ them to achieve the same result for high school girls. We are so grateful that Lauren’s admirable, outstanding advocacy for women and girls includes IGNITE in her distinguished portfolio.

Individual of the Year: HON. HARRYETTE EHRHARDT

Hon. Harryette Ehrhardt is a former Texas State Representative, DISD School Board member, Professor, and elementary school principal and teacher. Because she is committed to IGNITE ‘s mission of encouraging young women to seek political leadership, Harryette gives extensively of her time, speaking with young women about her illustrious career and hosting an annual reception in her home for over 200 IGNITE participants. We are equally grateful to have Harryette as an IGNITE spokeswoman and role model with her extraordinary record of public service.
