Governor Miguel Ventura to speak at SMU

Governor Miguel Ventura, Governor of Morazon, will be visiting the SMU campus today and tomorrow to play host to two events.

On Tuesday, March 20th at 7:00 pm at the McCord Auditorium, Mr. Ventura will be celebrating and discussing the 40th Anniversary of Liberation Theology and the State of Human Rights in El Salvador. Respondents Ana Raquel Cruz, Vice Consul of the Salvadoran Consulate of Dallas and Dr. Hector Rivera, Assistant Professor, Simmons School of Education & Human Development will be on hand to give feedback.

On Wednesday, March 21st at 11:30 a.m. at Perkins Chapel, a service in memory of the late Arch Bishop Oscar Romero accompanied by Francisco Herrera, California community organizer & liturgical Image.
